Environmental, social & governance

At Elements Green, we see environmental, social and governance responsibility as a fundamental part of how we build, operate and grow. Shaping the future of renewable energy, we recognise that our impact extends beyond the projects we deliver. It includes how we act as a partner, an employer and an investment. This page is designed as a transparent, evolving space where we share our commitments, policies and progress, ensuring we continue to earn the trust of our investors, support our people, and contribute positively to the communities and environments we’re part of.

Powering a sustainable future

ESG at Elements Green

We develop and deliver renewable energy infrastructure that supports the transition to net zero. Our approach to environmental, social and governance matters is built into every stage of project development, from site selection through to operation and decommissioning.

We focus on practical outcomes. You can see this in how we design our projects, how we work with communities, and how we manage our supply chain.

Environmental responsibility

Environmental responsibility

We design projects to deliver clean energy while improving the natural environment.
Our developments are built to support long-term climate goals.

We take a structured approach to environmental management:

  • Deliver Biodiversity Net Gain across our projects
  • Create and manage habitats including woodland, grassland and wetlands
  • Integrate ecological corridors to support wildlife movement
  • Design sites to minimise visual and landscape impact
  • Use Environmental Impact Assessments to identify and reduce effects

We work with conservation partners and follow emerging best practice to ensure projects contribute to nature-positive outcomes.

We also plan for the full lifecycle of our assets. Decommissioning is secured through planning obligations, with clear requirements to remove infrastructure and restore land at the end of operation.

Social value and communities

Social value and communities

We work closely with local communities from the earliest stages of development.

Our consultation process is designed to be transparent, structured and responsive. We engage with residents, local authorities and stakeholders to shape our projects and address concerns.

We focus on delivering tangible local benefits:

  • Long-term community funding
  • Support for education, skills and apprenticeships
  • Investment in local environmental and wellbeing projects
  • Opportunities for local suppliers and contractors

The NG+ scheme linked to our UK Great North Road Solar Park (GNR) project could provide around £1 million per year for community initiatives.

We also support job creation and local economic growth. For example, the UK Staythorpe BESS project is creating 50+ construction roles and delivering long-term infrastructure investment in the region.

Governance and supply chain

Governance and supply chain

We maintain clear standards across our business and supply chain.

Elements Green is a signatory to the Solar Energy UK Supply Chain Statement. This commits us to improving transparency and accountability across the solar value chain.

Our governance approach includes:

  • Commitment to ethical sourcing and human rights protections
  • Preference for suppliers aligned with the Solar Stewardship Initiative
  • Focus on reducing carbon, water use and environmental impact across the supply chain
  • Ongoing engagement with industry bodies and regulators

We expect partners to meet the same standards. This helps ensure our projects are delivered responsibly from raw materials through to installation.

Responsible development

Responsible development

We take a long-term view of project delivery.

Our developments follow a structured process:

  • Early-stage feasibility and site selection
  • Environmental Impact Assessment and consultation
  • Design refinement based on stakeholder feedback
  • Construction, operation and monitoring
  • Decommissioning and land restoration

This approach ensures risks are identified early and managed effectively. It also ensures projects align with national policy, including the UK’s energy security and net zero targets.

Delivering impact

Delivering impact

Our portfolio reflects our ESG approach in practice:

  • 14GW+ global development pipeline
  • Large-scale solar and battery storage projects across the UK
  • Integration of energy generation, storage and biodiversity
  • Long-term operational life with full decommissioning commitments

We focus on delivering infrastructure that is reliable, scalable and aligned with national energy needs.

Looking ahead

Looking ahead

We continue to strengthen our ESG approach as the industry evolves.

Our priorities include:

  • Expanding biodiversity and nature-positive design
  • Strengthening supply chain assurance and traceability
  • Increasing community participation and shared value
  • Supporting skills development through initiatives such as EG Academy

We aim to deliver projects that meet energy needs while creating measurable environmental and social value.

Elements Green integrates biodiversity, community engagement and agricultural coexistence into every project we develop and operate.

Through solar and biodiversity parks and energy storage, we go beyond clean power, helping tackle climate change while enhancing local ecosystems and powering a sustainable future.
